2026 Annual Luncheon
This past Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, the Bristol Garden Club gathered for our annual luncheon at the Beach House. But first, we braved strong winds and a bit of drizzle to take a group photo in Mrs. Perry's garden! This grouping of dedicated garden lovers was a sight to see for those Bristolians lucky enough to be driving by at the time.
We scurried inside to break bread and dry off. Mary Francis walked us through several recent noteworthy wins - the club won a $500 grant for town beautification. At the state garden club level our president's newsletter and binder were recognized for excellence, while our website won first place for ease of use (two years in a row!). Around the room we applauded fellow members for placing at various flower shows, most recently at the Rhode Island Daffodil Society Show at Blithewold Manor.
The event was capped off with an educational presentation by Jan Archibald, teaching us how we can each play a small part in creating a pathway connecting habitats for our local pollinators. In conjunction with the Pollinator Pathways Organization, the Bristol Garden Club will be installing a demonstration pollinator garden in Thomas Park this summer!
