Educational Grants
The Bristol Garden Club has established an educational grant program to benefit Bristol and Warren youth. Grants are specifically targeted to support programs and projects which stimulate and sustain young people’s interest in and appreciation of plants, nature, and the environment.

Each year, the Bristol Garden Club awards up to a total of $1,500.00, to be divided among multiple recipients, based upon quality of applications and amount sought.
2024 Grant Winners
The Bristol Garden Club awarded grants to four local non-profits groups to
support programs which stimulate and sustain interest in and appreciation of
plants, nature, and the environment. Mt. Hope Farm and Blithewold Mansion
& Gardens will use the funds for youth programming. Franklin Court plans to
rehabilitate vegetable and flower gardens maintained by the residents. The
grant to the Kickemuit Middle School will be applied to the creation of an
Outdoor Learning Zone, which will be used by students to use for learning
and getting closer to the environment.

Pamela Delaney, Education Chair, delivered checks to each recipient. “We
are delighted to contribute to these wonderful projects that promote the
outdoors and the environment among the youngest in our community to our
senior population,” said Ms. Delaney. Katie Blaise accepted on behalf of Mt.
Hope Farm and Connie Ganley for Blithewold. Madalena Sylvester and the
Franklin Court gardeners accepted on behalf of the senior program, and
Jeremiah Ryan for the Outdoor Learning Zone.
